      Good to know

      What the numbers mean

      Download

How fast data reaches you: streaming, browsing, downloads. 25 Mbps is enough for one 4K stream; a busy home is better with 100+ Mbps.

      Upload

How fast you send data: video calls, cloud backups, sending large files. 10+ Mbps keeps HD video calls smooth.

      Ping

The time a request takes to make a round trip. Under 30 ms feels instant; online gaming prefers under 50 ms.

      Jitter

How much the ping varies. Low jitter (under 10 ms) keeps calls and games stable without stutters.

The test runs against the nearest server of a global network, so you measure your own line rather than a distant server. Wi‑Fi and other devices using your connection affect the result; for the most accurate number use a cable and pause other downloads.
